Featuring an ignition lock and IP66 waterproof rating, this switch is of high quality. One side of the "single circuit" switch (3000) has two lugs in common so there is even more room for cable connections. Each connection stud is tin-plated and long enough for multiple cable lugs to be connected. In boats and motorhomes, the continuous ratings of 600A, 900A (5 minutes) and 1750A (30 sec) are adequate to handle the demands of heavy-duty applications. As you can see, the cable lug studs are for 1/2" diameter lugs. If you are relocating cables from a different source, you will probably need to drill out or replace the cable lugs. I have installed several of these and have never seen them fail.

I like how it was I will be using this for my winch in the Jeep and need something that can handle up to 450 amps when it's at its full draw. It will be installed as a surface mount with none of the original hardware The lugs will be relatively close to the surface and therefore need to be covered with conductive material. I hope to decrease the possibility of similar or worse situations by installing this switch. I burned up one winch motor with a short.

Easily cut off a battery bank that has a large quantity of batteries

My fifth wheel was equipped with this product to cut off battery power altogether. There is a larger size than I thought it would be, but that is not a problem. This is a very sturdy piece of furniture. A good feature of this switch is its high amperage capability. Moreover, I will be able to expand my lithium battery bank without requiring me to upgrade my cut-off.

A Godd switch can be mounted on a bulkhead

Due to the large hole that would have to be cut into this unit (or even more), I finally decided to consider the Flaming River FR1044 battery disconnect/big switch with lock - As it requires a 1 and 1/16 inch hole, it is not recommended for Out XL.

A travel trailer with all the bells and whistles

A switch like this one is installed on my travel trailer and it seems to function well. It would have been just fine for my set if I had been on regular duty It's a little fuzzy up here, but I'd say it looks better in grey and I thought the HD version would be superior to There were a lot of ring connectors not readily available since this switch has 1/2' posts instead of the standard 3/8". In the end, I am very pleased with my purchase of the regular duty version. If given the choice again, I would order the regular duty version.
